Privacy notice
The only personal data we collect is your email address, and only if you sign up for the weekly newsletter. KitchenTenders has no accounts, no contact forms and no comment boxes.
The data controller is KitchenTenders.
Cookies and tracking
We don't use advertising or social media trackers, and we don't set cookies. To understand which pages are useful we may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and privacy-first: it does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint visitors and does not track you across sites. It gives us aggregate figures such as page views only.
Hosting
The site is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Weekly newsletter
What we collect. If you sign up for the Monday tender email, we collect your email address (plus the technical details Kit records with a sign-up, such as the date and time). We use it only to send you the newsletter. We don't sell it or share it with sponsors or advertisers.
Lawful basis. Your consent (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). We use double opt-in: after you sign up you'll get an email asking you to confirm, and you won't be added to the list unless you do.
Who processes it. We use Kit (ConvertKit LLC, based in the United States) to store the mailing list and send the newsletter. Kit acts as our processor. Because Kit is in the US, your email address is transferred outside the UK; these transfers are made under appropriate safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). How long we keep it. Until you unsubscribe. There's an unsubscribe link in every email, and you can use it at any time.
Your rights. You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you (access), ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (erasure). You can withdraw your consent at any time by unsubscribing. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

The tender and contract information on this site is public-sector open data. It contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0, from Find a Tender and Contracts Finder (Cabinet Office), Public Contracts Scotland and Sell2Wales. Republic of Ireland data comes from eTenders open data (Office of Government Procurement), licensed under CC BY 4.0. More detail is on about the data.
